After over a year on hiatus due to health issues, professional wrestler Kenny Omega made his much-anticipated return to the ring at Wrestle Dynasty on Jan. 5. He marked the occasion with a brand new entrance theme featuring two legends of the video game industry.

Omega is a big fan of the Final Fantasy series and has incorporated elements from the franchise into his wrestling career over the years. His finishing move is named the One Winged Angel, and during his entrance at Wrestle Kingdom 17, he entered to a rearrangement of Sephiroth’s theme from Final Fantasy 7.

Ahead of his NJPW Wrestle Dynasty match, AEW wrestler Kenny Omega reveals that his new theme song was made by a beloved Final Fantasy composer.

Omega walked into the Tokyo Dome to a song by the FFXIV composer, sung by Jason Charles Miller and featuring a vocal appearance from Nobuo Uematsu.

Kenny Omega wants to see Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada back in NJPW after making his own return to the promotion. The former AEW and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion had his first match in 13 months at NJPW’s Wrestle Dynasty event.
