For the third year in a row, Ramadan Lights have been installed in central London as part of celebrations for Ramadan, which this year is set to begin in early March. Organized by the Aziz Foundation, "Happy Ramadan" lights were switched on along Coventry Street by Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, on Wednesday evening.

London's West End has been lit up with thousands of lights to mark the holy month of Ramadan.

The holy month of Ramadan will start on March 1 in Saudi Arabia with the sighting of a new crescent moon. In the Islamic calendar, a new month begins with the crescent moon, which is when the moon appears as a thin sliver.

Ramadan 2025 is expected to start on March 1 or March 2 depending on the crescent moon sighting. The beginning of fasting will be confirmed by local committees in Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, and Pakistan.
