A 37-year-old driver was allegedly intoxicated Monday afternoon during a crash in Berkeley that killed his passenger, authorities said. The single-car crash took place around noon on the 100 block of Grand Central Parkway, Berkeley police said Friday. The passenger, who was not immediately identified, died at an area hospital.
