However, Participant Media requested the festival yank the film from its lineup after learning that director Joseph submitted a new, secret cut to Sundance and other global fest’s without the media company’s knowledge.

Days after the film was pulled from Sundance over a dispute between Participant Media and director Kahlil Joseph, James Shani’s Rich Spirit banner has acquired “Blknws: Terms & Conditions,” according to an insider with knowledge of the project.
