Albany police say 17-year-old threatened classmate with knife and a responding school resource officer then pointed a gun at the student.

A 17-year-old high school student has been arrested in connection with a menacing incident that occurred early Thursday morning at Albany High School.At around

Two students are recovering after being stabbed outside an Albany school. The students were on their way into Albany High School’s Abrookin Career and Technical Center, when at least one person got out of a car and stabbed them during a fight, the district said. Both students were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

A spokeswoman for city police said one incident occurred at North Lake Avenue and West Street, second unfolded at the high school.

An arrest was made after two teenage students were stabbed outside the Abrookin Career and Technical Center on Monday. Around 11:55 AM, officers responded to the Abrookin Center for reports of an assault. That's when they located a 15-year-old student with a stab wound on his calf, and a 16-year-old student with a stab wound on his bicep.

Court records show the convicted sex offender was arrested earlier in December, but was released without charges pending an investigation.
