Local company Bear Paw Studio has gotten behind the reins for the Winnipeg production phases of a remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night, a gory Christmas story that first freaked audiences out in 1984.

All Liquor Marts in Winnipeg and Brandon will be closed on Christmas and most will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m on Boxing Day. Recycling and garbage will not be collected on Christmas Day .
