In the Warriors’ previous game on Dec. 12, Curry took over Jordan’s record for the most 35-point games after turning 30 years old, but it was not enough to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, who won 127-120. Curry scored 39 points and six 3-pointers during the game.

That's, by far, an NBA record. The two players closest to Curry, according to Real Sports, are Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar. They each did it three times. When you think about style of play, it makes sense. Curry sometimes just gets hot from long distance and keeps letting it fly.
