Sisters Ruthie and Trixie Schatz and their cousin Claire Fiore were clearly excited Saturday morning as they waited to board the Colebrookdale Railroad’s special train: Santa’s Polar Bear Express.

The show, which will air at 10 a.m. Saturday on NBC, will highlight what makes the bears and their habitat unique and how people can contribute to polar bear conservation efforts, among other topics.
