A rarely seen pygmy killer whale has been found after stranding on a popular beach, sparking an emergency response from wildlife rescuers.

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – Two pygmy killer whales have died at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, one week after they were found beached in Clearwater. “Lightning” died around 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
