— The Leawood Police Department is investigating "suspicious activity" involving a white van. Officers received a call Saturday afternoon on the van in the area of W. 103rd Street and Meadow Lane.

Photos and a video clip captured near the Five Points intersection showed a white cargo van with blacked-out windows, a large gray spot on the top right of the back door, and an expired license plate.

A 911 caller told police their child was riding a scooter in the area when a man driving a white van offered them candy. The child quickly reported this to their parents, prompting the call to police.

The incident was reported to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday. Voelz has since deleted the post after police reached out with what they'd learned.
