Matt McMahon and the LSU Tigers have landed their first commitment of the offseason after Mississippi State's Michael Nwoko went public with a decision on Monday. Nwoko elected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after the 2024-25 season with the Bulldogs where he started in 32 out of 34 games played.

LSU men’s basketball attracted its first player in the transfer portal with Mississippi State center Michael Nwoko, according to the player’s social media. Nwoko started 32 of 34 games at Mississippi State this season. The 6-10, 245-pound sophomore averaged 6.1 points on 52.5% from the field and 4.6 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game.
