One workaround used to set up Windows 11 with a local account has been blocked, but there are others - and two fresh ones have emerged this week.
With the latest insider build for Windows 11, Microsoft is killing off a workaround that let you set up a local account instead of a Microsoft account.
The workaround, shared by X user @witherornot1337, lets users set up Windows 11 with a local account instead of being forced to log in with a Microsoft account.
You'll then be prompted to setup a local account and can use that for logging into Windows 11 once it's finished.
