Hurricane Kiko is expected to bring dangerous surf conditions to the waters off Hawaii by the end of the weekend.
September starts seasonable for many, with rounds of showers and thunderstorms in the Central Plains. The tropics are quiet in the Atlantic Basin, but Hawaii is closely watching Hurricane Kiko, as it continues to churn towards the Islands.
