Detroit residents and out-of-towers congregated in the city of Detroit to enjoy the Grand Prix and bid farewell to GM's tenure at the RenCen.

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix returned to the city’s downtown streets for its third year, following a stint on Belle Isle, attracting thousands of race car fans who filled grandstands and rooftop viewing decks. The three-day event culminated in a 100-lap IndyCar Series race Sunday afternoon.

The streets of downtown Detroit will again have Indy cars zipping around for at least three more years, despite one potential issue.
