The Laguna Beach City Council on Tuesday awarded a construction contract to Triangle DeCon Services, Inc. to build an emergency operations center at the Community and Recreation Center.

The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency announced its Emergency Operations Center has been activated at a Level IV in preparation of Tuesday's storms.

Yakima County officials are working on a plan to put a permanent Emergency Operations Center, crime lab, consolidated dispatch services and a real-time information center under the same roof.
