SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A cold one greets us for St. Patrick’s Day following the passage of a strong cold front. Monday brought numerous showers and thunderstorms to the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. A morning round of discreet cells eventually gave way to numerous showers and storms that slowly made their way into our area.
A chilly night is in store for Texans.
It’s a cold start to your day with temperatures in the 20s this morning. Highs will only reach into the 40s with a breezy afternoon.
A strong cold front blew through yesterday, bringing high winds, severe storms, and cold temperatures! The winds and the cold stick around today, putting most of East Texas under a Wind Advisory until 7pm tonight.

A freezing cold start to Saint Patrick's Day
Most of Arkansas experienced a hard freeze Monday night and Tuesday morning with several hours (six or more) in the 20s. But it will start to warm up today. It will wind up being about ten degrees than Monday was.
If you haven't had enough weather whiplash, more is on the way as temps heat back up by the end of the week.
