NFL owners officially approved their players to be able to participate in flag football during the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. The question now is, what players from around the league will be interested in playing?

The NFL is officially going global. A week after confirming dates for a record seven international games on its 2025 schedule, the league announced it voted to approve potential player participation in the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Several NFL players, including Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, were quick to express their support for the addition and enthusiasm about pursuing Olympic gold in an offshoot of the sport they already excel at.
