The Orleans Parish Coroner has identified the teenager killed during an armed robbery at Sam’s Meat Market on Tuesday night.

The coroner identified the teen as Cecil Batiz, 16. Batiz and 18-year-old Teony Juarez were shot by a store manager in the 8400 block of the Interstate 10 service road.

Juarez was injured, and Batiz was killed. Juarez is also being held on counts of armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and the illegal use of weapons.
