A 63-year-old woman died after her vehicle slammed into a train crossing Carrollton Road north of Saginaw on Thursday night.

WGRZ reports a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu struck the Santa’s Wonderland Express Train in the Town of Java on Thursday evening. The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred at 5:37 p.m. as the train, owned by Attica and Arcade Railroad, was crossing the roadway on Chaffee Road.

The 20-year-old man was driving north on Huddle Road when his car was struck by an eastbound train, the sheriff’s office said. The man was taken to Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital with life-threatening injuries from the crash. He was the only person in the car. The crash remains under investigation, deputies said.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now) — Train traffic has been interrupted after a crash between a car and a train on Tuesday. Officials believe that a MARC passenger train clipped a car while crossing in the Randolph Road area. There was minor debris in the area, but the car was not there.

The video showed that the car had stopped at the intersection with the train tracks, but its front end extended onto the tracks.
