As for this season, Alabama will face Oklahoma on Friday, December 19 (7 p.m. CT, ABC/ESPN) in Norman, Oklahoma in the first round of the 12-team playoff. If the Crimson Tide wins that game, it will advance to the Rose Bowl to face No. 1 seed Indiana.

The 2026 football schedule for all SEC schools was unveiled on Thursday night. The conference's top teams continued to excel this season, as Alabama, Georgia Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M nearly made up half of the 2025-26 College Football Playoff field.

Alabama is No. 9 and Notre Dame is now No. 10 even though both teams won in Week 14. That move could be significant, especially if Alabama loses to Georgia.

Alabama faces a tough stretch in the middle of October. The Crimson Tide will host Georgia on Oct. 10 before traveling to Knoxville for its annual "Third Saturday in October" date with Tennessee. Alabama will return home Oct. 24 for its first home date against Texas A&M since 2022.

Alabama has been the biggest winner of the College Football Playoff era. OU, meanwhile, has been the biggest loser.
