Ohio sniper Wess Roley intentionally started a bushfire to lure firefighters into the woods and killed them before killing himself in an unhinged act the motive of which is not clear to the investigators.

Roley, 20, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday after attacking firefighters responding to the blaze he set.

Wess Roley, who authorities say took his own life after Sunday’s shootings, is suspected of killing two battalion chiefs in Sunday's ambush.
