AR Dairy, a Tamil Nadu-based supplier of ghee to the renowned Tirumala Tirupati temple, has strongly denied allegations of animal fat

A senior official of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) on Saturday filed a complaint against several social media users on X for allegedly defaming Amul and spreading rumours that they had supplied the ghee to Tirupati Balaji temple that allegedly had animal fat.

A ghee supplier to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, AR Dairy Food Pvt Limited, is under investigation for allegedly adulterating the ghee used in Tirupati laddus with cheaper vegetable and animal fats.

Tirupati Laddu Controversy has turned into a storm with Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu calling out Tirupati laddu prasad of spoiling sanctity by using animal fat. On the other hand, YSR Congress Naidu denied all he allegations.

In January, during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, 300 kilograms of 'prasad' from the Tirupati temple was distributed to devotees, confirmed Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the temple.

Tirupati laddus are embroiled in controversy after allegations of animal fats in their ghee emerged from the TDP government, supported by a lab report. Ayodhya temple's chief priest demanded strict action and an investigation into the allegations.
