Mayfield’s frustration was evident after the fumble, punching the ground as Washington recovered. Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield left the field at Raymond James Stadium dejected after Tampa fell to the Commanders 23-20 to end their playoff run as quickly as it started.

Safety Percy Butler and defensive end Dorance Armstrong sandwiched Mayfield from opposite sides of the field as linebacker Bobby Wagner met him head-on. Mayfield shed Armstrong and sent Wagner barreling backward with his shoulder as he ran past the line to gain.
