The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ordered lower courts to review appellate decisions involving transgender people after the justices' ruling last week banned gender-affirming care for minors.

The Supreme Court has thrown out appellate rulings in favor of transgender people in four states following the justices’ recent decision upholding a Tennessee ban on certain medical treatment for transgender youths.

Enbridge is seeking state and federal permits to build a deep underground tunnel beneath the straits into which an approximately four-mile section of the pipeline would be rerouted. The existing pipeline runs between the Upper and Lower peninsulas along Great Lakes bottomlands at the straits, where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet.
