Normal life was hit across Punjab on Monday due to a nine-hour 'bandh' called by farmers protesting against the Centre for their various demands including a legal guarantee of a minimum support price for their crops.

The statewide bandh–which began at 7 am and will continue till 4 pm–was called in support of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike for over a month, demanding the implementation of 13 farm reforms.
