Manchester City showcased their impressive squad depth in a 2-0 victory over Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca in the Club World Cup on Wednesday, with manager Pep Guardiola rotating his team and resting key players.

Phil Foden scored two minutes into the match and later had an assist to lead Premier League powerhouse Manchester City past Moroccan club Wydad 2-0 in the Club World Cup.

Manchester City enters this year’s tournament looking to become the first club since Spanish superpower Real Madrid in 2018 to win back-to-back Club World Cups. Though they came short of winning a fifth straight English Premier League title, City has the talent to make a run in its second-ever CWC appearance.
