The Kentucky Wildcats will play the Troy Trojans in round one of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Kentucky is the three seed in the Midwest bracket, while Troy is seeded at number 14. The Wildcats finished the season with a 22-11 record and ended up sixth in the SEC.
Illinois has one player back from its Elite Eight run last season. Kentucky doesn’t have anyone on its roster who played a single minute in the Wildcats’ first-round loss to Oakland in last year's NCAA tourney.
