(Reuters) - President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday met the U.S. envoy for the war in Ukraine Keith Kellogg, the RBC-Ukraine outlet reported, but their following joint news conference was cancelled at the U.S.'s request, Zelenskiy's office said.

U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, arrived in Kyiv for meetings with officials saying he was there to "listen," a day after Ukraine was left out of pivotal U.S.-Russia talks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed effective security guarantees and the return of prisoners during a meeting with U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg. Ukraine also proposed the fastest and most constructive path toward achieving lasting peace.
