Following their dramatic quarter-final win against Sweden on Thursday, England are just one game away from the Euro 2025 final. The Lionesses looked down and out after a calamitous first-half in Zurich in which Sweden took a deserved 2-0 lead.
Bronze, in her seventh major tournament, was exceptional for England as she helped them battle back from 2-0 down to force a penalty shootout. England were staring at an early exit from Euro 2025 with Sweden in control of the game until Wiegman made a flurry of substitutions around the 70-minute mark.
England then bounced back by defeating the Netherlands 4-0 and Wales 4-1 to get to this stage of the tournament. In the win over the Netherlands, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp, Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, and Aggie Beever-Jones scored for England, setting up for this thrilling matchup against Sweden.
