School districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are closing their campuses Thursday and Friday as a winter storms bring a wintry mix to the region.

With sleet and snow now falling in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, many of the school districts that were waiting to make a decision about Friday have now announced closures.

After careful consideration for anticipated road conditions and extreme temperatures, all Dallas ISD campuses and facilities will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10. After-school activities and athletic events for these days are canceled,
