The Golden Globes officially kick off awards season on Sunday night with the first major televised ceremony of 2025 en route to the Academy Awards on March 2. But the Oscars race was jolted on Friday before the Globes crowned a single winner thanks to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

After Jacques Audiard's Spanish-language musical and Edward Berger's Vatican drama, it's a three-way tie between 'The Brutalist,' 'A Complete Unknown' and 'The Substance.'

With 2025 underway, award season is officially within sight - kicking off this weekend with the 82nd annual Golden Globes. And with the SAGs, Critics Choice and Academy Awards following soon after, we are set for an action-packed few months.
