The AHSAA Central Board has officially approved a plan for the Super 7 football championships after an executive session on Wednesday.

MOBILE, Ala. ( WALA) - The AHSAA said the Super 7 state football championship will come to Mobile in 2026 and 2028. The games will be held at Hancock Whitney Stadium, according to officials. AHSAA Executive Director Heath Harmon released the following statement:

A new city added to the rotation isn't the only change possibly coming to the AHSAA Super 7 football championships. After the Alabama High School Athletic Association's central board approved host sites for the 2025 and 2027 Super 7 in Birmingham and the 2026 and 2028 event in Mobile,

All matches are set to follow the same time schedule as originally planned with Class 7A and Class 5A semifinals beginning at 9 a.m.
