Hundreds of protesters lined the streets of downtown Green Bay June 14, part of a nationwide series of 'No Kings Day' protests opposing Donald Trump.
Protesters criticized the administration's actions, including its crackdown on immigration, and condemned the fatal shooting of a Democratic Minnesota lawmaker earlier Saturday.
So while the majority of Americans were out confirming our democracy and making it clear we are not nor ever will be a monarchy, and while Donny was pouting at his sad birthday party, Wisconsin State Representative Ron Tusler was busy at work coming up with one doozy of a conspiracy theory about the No Kings movement and protests:
Around 2,000 protests and rallies were planned nationwide, with thousands of people also attending staged “No Kings” events in Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Green Bay. Rallies were canceled in Minnesota out of caution following shootings targeting local lawmakers.
In the interest of ensuring the safety of our attendees, including families with children, this joyful and peaceful march to protect every human life has been rescheduled,” the group said.
Hundreds of protesters marched through downtown Milwaukee to decry the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.
Despite peaceful demonstrations reported in multiple cities, violence flared at some anti-Trump protests over the weekend.
