After a weekend of massive strikes and counter-strikes between Tel Aviv and Tehran, the UN's human rights chief, Volker Türk on Monday condemned the violence and echoed wider calls for a negotiated end to the attacks.

A barrage of missiles from Iran destroyed several buildings in Tel Aviv just a few hundred yards from the U.S. consulate. On Monday morning, store owners were sweeping up glass from shattered storefronts that were hit by the shockwave of a missile.

Fox News reporter Trey Yingst was standing on a balcony as short-range missiles behind him appeared to come closer before being intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome defense system. The footage of the incident preceded a night in which Israel and Iran traded fire, with explosions heard in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran.
