We found this hidden gem when we realized we needed a reservation for Red Rock Canyon (it's right down the road). It has a reasonable entrance fee, and it is well worth it. The views are incredible. … Full review by Brandon B
Yep! The official policy is that dogs are allowed at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, but have to be kept on a leash (6' max length) when not in your vehicle.

There are domestic Date Palms as close as China Ranch, California, but the only wild Palms in North America are in Palm Canyon of the Anza-Borrego State Park east of the Salton Sea.
