Found within the city of Gloucester is an internationally important collection of treasures of over 750,000 objects… The Museum of Gloucester is the most unique cultural and family destination in the city, telling the story of the city’s origins as a Roman settlement and its subsequent development through the Dark Ages and Medieval period and beyond. We also have many changing exhibitions throughout the year and a varied programme of events, workshops, tours, clubs and talks. A selection of educational sessions, outreach and loan boxes are available plus an exciting gift shop full of both historical and local products (and not forgetting our café!) We are proud to offer FREE admission to our Museum and encourage entry by donation.
